Tala Zeitawi is a Palestinian documentary photographer and filmmaker who has received her Bachelor's degree in Media Studies at Al-Quds Bard College and Bard College New York. She is currently undertaking an MA in Creative Practice at GMIT in Ireland. Her short documentary “The In-Between" was screened at multiple festivals and universities around the USA during 2017 and 2018 and in ‘Khalil Sakakini Cultural Center’ in Palestine accompanied by photographic work. In 2014, She was selected for an exhibition on Socio-Political issues at Goethe Institute in Palestine. She uses her camera to narrate the stories of the unrecognized communities and reflect on life through their eyes, making the invisible realities visible in order to seek solutions. Her work aims to raise awareness on neglected human rights by focusing on marginalized communities. She also aims to raise capital for the subjects through film screening and exhibitions related events.
